Join us: Hawk Air Australia!
Open House at Hygiene Elementary School Friday, March 6 | 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Hawk Air Australia is a student- driven, teacher-facilitated, and parent-propelled annual capstone project. This year, we will journey to Australia to experience the city of Sydney, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Outback. Join us as we create art inspired by the Aboriginal culture, sing traditional Australian songs, and understand the impact of the Australian bush fires. Thank you to our partners for making this event possible: Future-Ready Innovation Lab, Hygiene Fire Department, Hygiene PTO, OtterBox, and Paul Taylor.

Each grade will address the following question:

Kindergarten & First Grade:
How might we protect the following endangered species in Australia: Quokka, Hawksbill Sea Turtle, Duck- billed Platypus, Kangaroo, Koala, and Wombat?

Second Grade:
How might we conserve the Outback?

Third Grade:
How might we manage invasive species that are impacting Australia’s indigenous ecosystems?

Fourth Grade:

Fifth Grade:
