November Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians:

It is hard to believe that we are approaching the holiday season, and that the end of the 1st trimester is right around the corner!  We have had an extremely exciting, fun filled fall here at Hygiene, and I would like to take this opportunity to highlight some of these celebrations and provide updates as we enter the month of November.

On behalf of the entire staff, I want to extend my gratitude and appreciation for the generosity and support with the 2017 Jogathon. We raised over $25,000 as a result of the hard work of students and donations from the Hygiene community and beyond.  We appreciate all the work and efforts made to raise this money for our school, and the students also enjoyed watching me get SLIMED!

Parent Teacher Conferences were very well attended.  The teachers greatly appreciate this time with you.  I want to thank all the parents who helped provide dinners for the teachers during the week of conferences.  A shout out to Tyra Pritt and Kathryn Pritchard for organizing the delicious meals, and to all the parents who helped bring in food! The food was absolutely wonderful and it means a great deal to the teachers have dinner on those nights.

Our Holiday Lunch will be November 9th.  Tickets are $4.00 per person.  This is a great community event, so please join your child for a nice holiday meal during their lunch hour.

Finally, our first STEAM Night is scheduled for November 7th from 6-7:30 pm.  This is a great family event for our school and the community to showcase the amazing work of our teachers and students.  We will also have a Star Party hosted Longmont Astronomical Society in the back field.

I look forward to seeing everyone at STEAM Night on November 7th.

Take care and Happy Trick or Treating!
