Bio
Hello, my name is Maridee Moll. I teach literacy at the world’s best elementary school, HYGIENE! I received my bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern Illinois University in 1996. I then began my teaching career in my home state, Illinois. There I taught Special Education and Reading. My husband and I made our way to Colorado as quickly as possible. Our first stop was Leadville where I taught Special Education. We found Longmont and our beloved Hygiene Elementary in 2004. After many wonderful years in the classroom, I began a new adventure in 2022. Driven by a passion to ensure all students learn to read and write, I pursued my master's degree in literacy. From there, I began my ALTA certification to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist, CALT. Quite simply, I love teaching students to read! As an educator, my greatest hope is to inspire a lifelong love of learning which is why I am proud to have sent my own children to Hygiene where they not only received an excellent education but also learned to love learning. I cannot imagine teaching anywhere else!
