Message from the Principal
Dear Hygiene Elementary Families
We have officially wrapped up our final full week of October! Way to Go Hawks! It is with great pleasure that I share some exciting news regarding our school’s attendance. Over the past year, we have made remarkable progress in this important area. Our attendance rate, which stood at 93.97% in September 2022, has seen a significant increase to 96.20% in September 2023. This impressive jump of 2.3% reflects the dedication and commitment of our students and their families, and we are immensely proud of this achievement.
This achievement is a testament to the collective effort and commitment of our students, parents, and the entire school community. We understand that good attendance is crucial for the success of our students, and this upward trend is a fantastic indicator of the positive direction in which we are moving.
To celebrate this milestone and embrace the festive spirit of the season, we have some exciting events lined up. Halloween is just around the corner, and we have two special activities planned. First, we have our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, where students can showcase their creativity and carving skills. It’s always a fun and creative event for our students, and we look forward to seeing their imaginative pumpkin designs. All pumpkins can come in on Tuesday when students arrive.
Additionally, our traditional Halloween Parade will take place on October 31st. The parade will start at 3:15 pm on the back field. We invite parents to join us in celebrating this special occasion. Students will be dressed in their Halloween costumes, and we encourage parents to attend and enjoy the festivities with us.
We look forward to these upcoming events and hope to see you there. The sense of community and participation at Hygiene Elementary is what makes our school so special, and we can’t wait to share these memorable moments with you. Keep SOARING WITH THE BEST!
Sincerely,
Renee Collier
Hygiene Principal
