Message from the Principal
Hello Hygiene Community!
Here are our Halloween Protocols for all classrooms and important information!
Halloween is always a much-anticipated holiday for our students. It is important that we maintain our safety protocols while still providing fun.
Here are the classroom and school guidelines for Tuesday, October 31st.
- We will allow students to wear their costumes for the school day.
- We will allow for commercially-produced, individually-wrapped Halloween treats/drinks and will communicate to you through classroom sign-ups for classroom needs for Halloween celebrations. Students may bring in the party supplies the morning of or the Monday before Halloween.
- We are allowing Parents to be in the classroom for Halloween parties this year to come and set up and assist with games. Teachers, will send out volunteer information and sign up sheet for volunteers.
Important Note: Costumes cannot create a distraction or disruption at the school, as safety is always the top priority at school. Staff must be able to recognize students; therefore, students may not wear face masks, sunglasses, fake blood, excessive face paint, and anything that covers the entire face during the school day. For the parade and party, masks are allowed to be worn. Weapons (real or facsimile) are also not allowed.
We will have our traditional Pumpkin Carving contest on October 31(see more information below). Students can bring in their pumpkins the morning of the contest.
At 2:30 all classrooms will begin their Halloween celebrations. At 3:15, we will start our school wide Halloween parade. This parade will extend to the outdoors this year so that our parents can also be part of it. Parents we would love to have you be part of the parade at the end of the day. We look forward to seeing everyone at the parade!
