Staff Updates for Next School Year

Dear Hygiene Community,

As we approach the end of the 2024-2025 academic year, I would like to take a moment to inform you of some staff updates for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

Firstly, I would like to celebrate the retirement of Ms Essig, our esteemed special education para.  Sue has been an integral part of our Hygiene and Lyons family, and her dedication and passion for all students has left an indelible mark on our school community. Please join me in recognizing and celebrating Sue’s many years of service and wishing her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.

Additionally, our beloved Ms. Morison will be leaving us to start a new adventure at Columbine Elementary.  Ms. Morison will be truly missed in this community and she has served many roles here starting with a member of our PTO.  We wish Ms. Morison all the best in her next journey.

Ms Duelm will be returning to her home state of Texas as she begins a new chapter in her life with her husband and baby girl.  Ms Duelm will be missed in this community and we thank her for her dedication and commitment to the Hygiene community.  In addition, Ms Martin will also not be returning.  Ms Martin will continue her pursuit and career in education.

I am pleased to announce the addition of two new members to our staff. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Mica Calvo who will be joining our 1st grade team.  Ms. Calvo comes to Hygiene from Sanborn Elementary and brings several years of diverse experience from her previous roles.  We are confident that she will make a positive impact on our students and community.

Additionally, I am thrilled to introduce Ms. Isobel Lang who joins us from Red Hawk Elementary school.  She has a background in elementary education as well as international experience.  We are thrilled to have these two professionals as the first grade team for Hygiene next school year.

Finally, Ms Williams, our preschool para will not be returning to Hygiene.  Ms Williams will be missed and we appreciate her dedication to the community.

Here are the grade level configurations for next year:

Preschool: Ms. Frantz
Kindergarten: Ms. Kennedy and Ms. Raleigh

First Grade: Ms. Calvo and Ms. Lang

Second Grade: Ms. Parker and Ms. Petersen

Third Grade: Ms. Carr and Ms. Myers

Fourth Grade: Ms. Maurer and Ms. Stoll

Fifth Grade: Ms. DiRenzo and Ms. Peterson

As we navigate these transitions, please know that I will continue to keep you informed of any further staff changes and recent hiring. Your ongoing support and partnership are invaluable to us, and we are grateful for your dedication to the success of our students.

Thank you for your attention, and please join me in extending warm wishes to all our departing and incoming staff members.

Thank you for the continued partnership,

Renee Collier

Hygiene Principal
