Hygiene Teachers working hard planning for the upcoming school year.

Hygiene Teachers at the Convocation this week!

I hope this letter finds you well and that you’ve had a fantastic summer filled with fun, relaxation, and special memories. As we prepare to kick off the 2025-2026 school year, I want to express how excited we are to welcome our students and families back to Hygiene Elementary. Our teachers have been hard at work this week, setting up their classrooms and preparing for an amazing year of learning and growth. We can’t wait to see everyone on Tuesday at Back to School Night!

Here are some important dates to keep in mind as we start this exciting journey together:

Teacher Placement will be announced on Monday, August 11th.  Teachers will email families at 2:00 pm introducing themselves.  This is how you will learn of your child’s class placements.  If you have not received an email by 3:00 pm, please call the front office.

Tuesday, August 12th & Wednesday, August 13th – Kindergarten Transition Days

– Kindergarteners have designated times to visit during the day. Please refer to the separate email sent to all Kindergarten families for specific details.

Tuesday, August 12th – Back to School Night for All Families (5:00-6:30 pm)

– Students can bring in their school supplies and meet their teacher.

– This evening is a great opportunity to hear from your child’s teacher about curriculum, procedures, and other important information.

– Teachers will host two presentations: the first from 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm and the second from 5:45 pm – 6:15 pm, allowing families with multiple students to attend multiple sessions.

PTO will be providing popsicles for all students between sessions from 5:30 pm – 5:45 pm and 6:15 pm – 6:30 pm outside in the front of the school.

Wednesday, August 13th – First Day of School for Grades 1-5. All teachers (1-5) will be outside on the south side of the school with signs. Kindergarten teachers will also be outside their classes for the first week of school.

At Hygiene, we have a soft start which means that we start letting our students in the doors at 9:00 am. This gives our teachers an opportunity to build positive touchpoints with their teacher right at the beginning of the day. We will not begin this procedure until Monday, August 18th.

– School starts at 9:10 am and dismisses at 3:45 pm.

Friday, August 15th – Preschool Orientation

Important iPad Updates for the 2025–2026 School Year

St. Vrain’s District Technology Services has made several updates to student iPads for the upcoming school year to support a focused and secure digital learning environment both at school and at home. One key update is the implementation of a new internet filter, Securly, which adds an extra layer of protection to iPads by blocking certain types of websites.
