Hygiene Hay Days is Saturday, September 3rd.  This is a fun annual community event, and this year’s Pie Contest will include a 14 and under category. 

Where:  Historic Stone Church of the Brethren, 7861 Hygiene Road, Hygiene

When:  10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sept. 3, 2016

Chief Judge: John Lehndorff

Pie competition categories: fruit, nut and gluten-free pies and a contest for kid bakers under 14. (No cream pies)

Deliver pies between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Judging starts at 1:30 p.m. Results announced at 2:30 p.m. when homemade and donated pies sold by the slice with ice cream Entry fee: $5 (or bring a second pie to sell); Kids $3 (or second pie)

Prizes: $100 (1st); $75 (2nd); $50 (3rd); $25 (4th); Kids prizes include $25 (1st) and pie-making tools.

Proceeds benefit the continued upkeep and renovation of the historic church building
