Originally from London, England, I have been teaching for more than 25 years. I have experience teaching a variety of grades in England, Belize, and the USA. This will be my 10th year teaching in Colorado!
I live in Longmont with my husband, Jeremy, and my sons, Finlay and Quillan. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking with our three dogs, tending my garden, fostering puppies and kittens, reading, paddle boarding, and, on the odd occasion, practicing the cello!
Guiding children to become the best readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and citizens is a momentous responsibility and one that I take very seriously. I believe all children can thrive when they feel safe and valued. As a teacher, I want to create a happy community where all needs are recognized and supported. I strive to create challenging, developmentally appropriate lessons that focus on active participation, inquiry, and understanding.
I am proud to be part of the St Vrain Valley School community, and I look forward to a great new school year!
