Bio

I am absolutely thrilled to join the Hygiene Elementary staff! I spent the last 10 years as the principal of Centennial Elementary in Firestone, CO. I decided to step down last spring as my mother's health is failing and I needed to shift my focus more toward my family. Prior to that, I was a coordinator at the district level for secondary literacy, social studies, 504 plans and MTSS. I held a similar role in Weld Re-4 as well as taught there starting in 2003. I began my career in public education in 2000 as a special education teacher in a residential treatment center for children with emotional disabilities. I taught one year of kindergarten in a private school as well. My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and we have two daughters. My oldest is a senior at Longmont High School this year and my youngest is an 8th grader at Bill Reed Middle School in Loveland. I am looking forward to spending more time with my family this year and getting to know the Hygiene community!
