Hygiene preschool program serves 3 and 4-year-old children. Our program emphasizes kindergarten readiness by providing high quality early childhood experiences in safe, supporting and stimulating environments. Classrooms meet quality standards, state licensing requirements, and have low adult-to-child ratios. Students enrolling for preschool must be 3 or 4 years of age on or before October 1.
Wednesday, May 13th is the make up rain day for 5th grade Track and Field at Longmont High. All 5th graders will be going to Longmont High for the day.
100 MILE CLUB:
Thursday, May 14th is the last day of 100 mile club.
The Shakespeare Play will be presented to the 3rd, 4th, 5th on Thursday, May 14th from 1:45-2:45. Shakespeare In the Park is on Friday, May 15th at Roosevelt Park from 9:00 - 1:00 for the Shakespeare cast.
Due to the full day of activities on Thursday the lunch menu has been switched around. Thursday will be pizza, steamed carrots, garden greens, peach cup, or the cheese tortilla. Then on Friday we will have lasagna roll ups menu. (NOTE: MAY MENU ATTACHED)

4th grade PARCC starts on Monday. Have a great weekend
Our fabulous 3rd grade teacher, Nina Pears submitted an essay to "Be a Learning Hero". This is a project created to keep parents informed on educational matters. They have informed us that Hygiene Elementary School is the winner of the Game Plan for Success Contest. The contest awards schools that are "hitting it out of the park" with higher standards, clear expectations and classroom support.
As a way to say thank you to the school, Eco-Cycle will be purchasing, donating and delivering a truckload of finished compost to the school on April 22nd and 23rd. It will be available from 8:35 am until 5:30 pm each day for students, parents and staff of Hygiene Elementary to take home (bring your own bags, buckets, shovels and trowels; no pick-up truck loads please.
